The "Cote d'Azur," France

Julie & Mark get a different perspective on the glamorous French Riviera - from a hanglider, high in the mountains above Antibes; a 4x4 trip through the Maritime Alps and a parasailing ride over the land of ritz and glitz.

To experience the authentic culture of the region, Mark & Julie hang out with locals in the Moorish walled city of Ramatuelle and the ranches of the Camargue, famous for their white horses.

From the seaport of Cassis, they board a ferry to tour the coastline where they discover rock climbers clinging to the walls of the "calanques" (fjords), and visit the picturesque seaport of Villefranche, with her pastel colored buildings and charming, narrow alleys.

TIPS for TRAVELERS to THE FRENCH RIVIERA

It is unfortunately a very popular stop for tour buses, but if you stay over night, you will be able to enjoy the ancient village in the peace and quiet of the evening and early morning hours. Dinner on a terrace overlooking the lights of the Riviera is very romantic!

There are at least two hotels in the village, one is called Chateau Eza, it's a five star, so be prepared to part with some cash or hope your credit card limit is high!

Also, pack light - there is no parking in the village so your car gets left below in the lot and bags will need to get up the hill, through the small alleys and into your room.
